Software Solutions

At Deeplake we develop Communications Manager (CMGR) - the leading Process Communications software tool for Social Housing. Our software is developed and owned in-house and we market our software through the following channels:

  • Indirectly via Partners (where we have an exclusive agreement with a Housing Management Systems provider) or;
  • Directly for organisations whose provider does not partner with us today.


In either case, all software licence costs are based on transparent suggested retail prices which are standard across all partners and customers. It is no more expensive to buy our software through your partner than directly.

Communications Manager (CMGR) comprises a number of standard modules which can be deployed separately or in any combination to provide the functionality you require. The only mandatory component is the SMS Gateway module which allows the sending and receiving of SMS text messages. See the full list of Communications Manager modules here.
The advanced modules of Communications Manager are currently only supported with our own Advanced SMS Gateway (ASG) for sending and receiving SMS text messages. We may in future support other gateways (TextAnywhere, Mobysoft etc.) allowing advanced functions with other gateways (some functionality may be subject to limitations), but timescales have not yet been defined.


Support Services

Deeplake provides 8 x 5 telephone support services for user support and software faults. You can call us for advice on using our software or to report a problem. Where you have purchased Communications Manager via a Partner then the Partner will take the first line call, escalating to Deeplake as necessary.

We also support our SMS and email gateway components, which are available and monitored 24 x 7. Our gateways have a 30 second delivery promise for your SMS or email messages to be delivered to the networks, and we use only priority routes to ensure excellent delivery times. Customers regularly comment on the speed of our text delivery, and Communications Manager provides detailed performance statistics on SMS text delivery.

Software as a Service

Deeplake provides a rental version of CMGR, operated on a resilient infrastructure by the Clearstream Group across the Web from our London Docklands Data Centre facility. This CMGR deployment is preconfigured and available 24 x 7 with a 99.97% Availability Service Level Agreement between normal business hours.
The Managed Service is available with a fixed thirty six month contract, and start-up costs vary depending on integration requirements. Deployment is normally provided within seven days of order, and data can be transferred to your own in-house system at a later date.

The CMGR Managed Service is priced as a base monthly plus increments for the number of properties under management. One thousand properties is included in the base module.
The hosted version of CMGR is designed for circumstances where:
  • There are inadequate power/space/support facilities’ for successful in-house deployment.
  • Project timescales are very tight
  • Server deployment and configuration is not possible prior to go-live.
  • You prefer not to manage the CMGR platform in-house.
CMGR is hosted at our Wolverhampton hosting facility. The data centre is a specifically purposed facility with a Deeplake Suite providing all the elements that keep machines and their data within an optimal operating environment. The facility is secure, has extensive internet bandwidth (10Gb+ bandwidth via multiple providers), automated network/server/environment monitoring, on-site support and 24x7 availability.

Our SMS Text Gateway services offer competitive rates for sending SMS messages. Our SMS packages are structured on a monthly, banded basis depending on your planned usage and may be varied form month to month. Higher usage attracts lower charges per text and rates are typical in the market place. We can offer:
